The Arizona House of Representatives has narrowly advanced a bill that could require Apple to allow alternative payment methods in the App Store. Apple had been lobbying against this bill, but it passed in a 31-29 vote on Wednesday, and it could have major consequences for iOS and the App Store. As the Verge reports, the legislation comes as an amendment to Arizona’s existing HB2005, and it would prevent Apple and Google from forcing developers to use a first-party payment system....

As expected, developer Dong Nguyen has removed his popular Flappy bird app from the App Store as of around Noon ET. While the app still shows up in iTunes, it isn’t available for download. The creators of One List One Life have organized an Avengers: Endgame screening for cancer patients. One List One Life, for those unfamiliar, is a crowdfunded video series that follows Dillon Hill and Clay Stevens as they try to help cancer patients complete their bucket lists. The pair release a brand new video every ten days, with their content ranging from comedy sketches to simple Vlogs. Now, with the culmination of the first three phases of the Marvel Cinematic Universe right around the corner, the duo are working on a related venture to benefit local cancer patients and children in Sacramento....

Ubisoft first announced that the remastered Assassin’s Creed 3 would release to players who purchased the season pass of Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey in 2018.
