The score of Avengers: Endgame is now complete, the Russo brothers have announced. Competing with Star Wars: Episode IX for the most hotly anticipated film of 2019, Avengers: Endgame follows last year’s Avengers: Infinity War which shockingly saw Thanos win by collecting all the Infinity Stones and wiping out half of the universe with a single snap of his fingers. Avengers: Endgame will pick up with what’s left of the Avengers Initiative coming together once again to wear some fancy new suits and try to defeat Thanos against all odds....

Just like with the iPhone, developers who have their apps ready at launch should have a substantial advantage of getting attention drawn to their apps. The iPad tablet, announced at the very end of the month along with the new SDK, should increase app production even further in February. AT&T’s SVP of Emerging Devices Chis Penroseannounced today at GigaOM’s Mobilize conference that the carrier is introducing a new $5 a day plan for tablet users. Available for your 3G and LTE iPads (and other AT&T compatible tablets of course), AT&T’s $5 data pass will offer a cheaper alternative to expensive hotel WiFi for travellers and others that only need a day or two worth of data. The plan will give users 250MB a day and AT&T says it will make it easy for customers to purchase the data sessions online directly on their iPad....

While previously the company had been primarily relying on the 850 MHz band that offers a more robust signal, including superior indoor reception, company technicians confirmed to OFB that transmitters for the 2G signal used by the original iPhone and most other handsets, including most AT&T offered BlackBerry and RAZR models, have been shifted to the weaker 1900 MHz band in some areas....

Stan Lee will make his final cameo in a Marvel Cinematic Universe movie in Avengers: Endgame. It says this trajectory will ‘surpass Moore’s law’ – which says that the number of transistors in a dense chip doubles every two years – and a graph created by ARM shows it outperforming Intel chips by 2020....

AT&T today announced that it will be the “first U.S. mobile company to introduce mobile 5G service in a dozen markets by late 2018.” The carrier made the announcement in a press release, saying it worked to push for standards acceleration during 2017…. AT&T says that its 5G service will be based on industry standards and notes that it remains focused on the “long-term vision” of 5G, as well. AT&T hasn’t said which markets it will launch mobile 5G in during 2018 just yet, but expect the normal metropolitan areas to get it first....

James Cameron, the director of Avatar, predicts that the 2009 movie will again beat out Avengers: Endgame at the box office. Although the release of the much-anticipated sequel, Avatar 2, is still nearly two years away, it certainly hasn’t stopped the excitement and press leading up to its big screen debut nearly 12 years after the first Avatar was released. AT&T this morning posted their fiscal 2011 second quarter results (calendar 2011 June quarter). Consolidated revenues were up 2.2 percent to $31.5 billion. The carrier activated 3.6 million iPhones during the June quarter, representing more than half of the smartphones sold. More than one quarter of iPhone activations came from new users, the carrier said. The figure matches the 3.6 million iPhone activations from the March quarter, with 23 percent of them from new users....
