Netgear’s Arlo security camera service suffered a widespread outage this weekend, perhaps the last thing you want when you rely on something for home security. The outage appears to have started late Saturday afternoon, with varying degrees of user-facing problems… Arlo acknowledged the outage on its support forums, saying that the issues were caused by “intermittent login errors.” As a byproduct of those errors, however, many Arlo users were unable to access motion detection recordings or watch live streams....

Oliver Queen’s most lethal weapon - his famous chili - has finally made its way into the reality of Arrow. The comics have seen Green Arrow design and craft many impressive trick arrows over the years, yet his most infamous creation, feared by friend and foe alike, is his Stupendous Chili. Ollie’s Famous Chili finally made its way into the lore of the Arrowverse in “Star City Slayer” - episode 13 of Arrow season 7....

Since March 2019, Arrow’s end was determined when it was revealed that the eighth season would be its last. While some characters certainly could get a better wardrobe, there are many who absolutely embody the spirit of a superhero and wear the matching leather to prove it. Apple officially announced its iPhone 12 lineup that includes four new models, 5G connectivity, more powerful cameras, all-new colors, the rebirth of MagSafe, and much more. Along with the latest iPhones, Apple has retired some models, here’s the new full iPhone lineup. Apple’s newest smartphones are the iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max. The devices span the range between 5.4- to 6.7-inches and all support 5G....

AT&T is scrapping its plans to offer in-flight 4G LTE connectivity services to airlines and passengers in business and general aviation. The company originally planned to build an air-to-ground network across the US to take advantage of spectrum that it already owned. AT&T’s decision to drop this project’s development appears to be based on a recent assessment after a proposed acquisition. In a statement to Runway Girl Network, an AT&T spokesperson said the following:...

The Russo brothers, who directed Avengers: Endgame, love the dedication to theories that fans have about the upcoming film. In Avengers: Infinity War, the Mad Titan Thanos successfully defeated the Avengers and gained access to the Infinity Stones, which powered his Infinity Gauntlet. He used the gauntlet’s power to snap his fingers, decimating half of the universe’s population. The snap also decimated the Avengers team, leaving many of their own disintegrated into ash....

There are more than a few apps and updates today worth mentioning, starting with the latest update for the recently launched Tweetbot for Mac Alpha: Tweetbot Alpha 3: After rolling out a huge update a couple of days ago for notifications, keyboard shortcuts and other performance enhancements, Tweetbot Alpha 3 is officially available for download/update today. It brings the ability to switch usernames/accounts from within the New Tweet compose window. Clicking a small profile image within the “new tweet” pop-up lets you switch between accounts on the fly....

Aside from all of the story and character complaints, there has been a consensus that the look and visuals in both Man of Steel and Batman v Superman have been consistently strong throughout. That same, gorgeous aesthetic looks to be continuing in this year’s Wonder Woman standalone film, with director Patty Jenkins working alongside Matthew Jensen to create the look of the film. Of course, Zack Snyder looks like he’ll be delivering even more breathtaking visual sequences in Justice League later this year as well, though that’s nothing to be all that surprised about....

It’s an update and shipping forecast kind of a day, with Adobe introducing a new and improved CS3; Microsoft shipping its latest batch of (delayed) Mac software updates; news that Spore ships September 5 and Microsoft dragging its feet over being good under the DOJ anti-trust thing (gosh, is that still dragging on? Why not just split the company?) Anything else? Not a whole heap really, other than some strange excitement that O2 in the UK may let iPhone buyers pre-agree their contract in early July (but not get the phone until later)....

One of the creators of Arrow has shared The CW show’s original pitch notes, which include a character that never made it to screen. With Arrow going off the air in January 2020, fans don’t have long before the show is gone for good. Arrow was created by Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg, and Marc Guggenheim, and the hit show has given birth to an entire multiverse of other shows. The Arrowverse, based on characters from DC Comics, now includes Supergirl, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Black Lightning, and, most recently, Batwoman....

As Arrow finally wrapped filming on its eighth and final season, show co-creator Marc Guggenheim took to social media to reveal the final two words of dialogue in the series: “To you.” As the longest-running series in The CW Arrowverse, Arrow will air its final episode on January 28, 2020. Leading up to the series finale, Oliver Queen and company will participate in the Crisis On Infinite Earths crossover event, which will also include other popular Arrowverse shows like Supergirl and The Flash....

You may recall we broke the story that Apple’s iPhone trade program, launched in the U.S. in August, was coming to the UK. It’s now launched – but you may not want to use it. Apple says it will offer up to £175 for iPhone models in its UK stores. Apple offers up to $250 in its U.S.-based locations. The program allows a customer with an iPhone 3G or newer to receive a gift card with the trade-in-value for use towards a new iPhone....

With the recent release of the Galaxy S2 and the iPhone 4S, AT&T is wielding a strong lineup of smartphones. The currently rumored AT&T phones are not close enough to release nor impressive enough to merit holding out for to purchase. One thing to keep in mind, however, is that AT&T is rolling out LTE to more cities 2012, so if you want the best 4G service and live in a planned rollout area, you may want to wait until they offer LTE smartphones....

On top of talking about the early days of Atari and the video game industry, Bushnell also told a few stories about Steve Jobs’ days as an employee at Atari in promotion of his upcoming book “Finding the next Steve Jobs.” Around 13 minutes into the video, Bushnell spoke about giving Jobs and Woz Atari parts for the first Apple computers, Jobs’ work ethic, and told a few other Apple-related stories throughout his talk....

The digital regulators forum will see members meet every two months with the purpose of updating members on relevant developments, sharing information, and discussing digital regulation activity. Forum members include the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA), the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC), and the Office of the eSafety Commissioner. As part of sharing information and collaborating on cross-cutting issues and activities regarding the regulation of digital platforms, forum members will consider how competition, consumer protection, privacy, online safety and data issues intersect, the agencies said in a joint statement....
