What came as a result was the tale of Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender), the (unknowing) son of an Assassin family recruited by the evil Templars after his execution. But the Templars’ plan failed: Cal mastered his memories, escaped their prison, and killed their leader....

Far Cry 5 was one of Screen Rant’s favorite games of 2018 and a followup of sorts is releasing less than a year later in the standalone first-person shooter sequel Far Cry: New Dawn. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey – the latest installment in Ubisoft’s wildly popular video game franchise – has finally landed on shelves. Set in Ancient Greece, Odyssey gives players the opportunity to assume the role of a mercenary from either Athens or Sparta, and to take part in a mythology-infused recreation of the Peloponnesian War. The game features an even greater emphasis on the RPG elements first introduced in its predecessor, Assassin’s Creed Origins, and boasts multiple endings that are triggered by the player’s actions....

Taiwanese manufacturer Asus has silently listed a brand new smartphone Asus Zenfone V on its US website. Even though the phone is still unannounced, the website listing has shown quite a few details regarding the phone, including the simple fact that Zenfone V V520KL will be exclusive to Verizon in the USA. Yes, the iPhone already has some pretty good video and VoIP applications – in fact the only thing holding them back from being better is…um AT&T… AT&T currently only allows VoIP applications to work on WiFi. Video on Youtube is compressed over AT&T’s network. But by the end of the year, all of this will change: At an event on Monday to showcase some recently developed technologies that are not yet being marketed, AT&T emphasized that in the future, consumers should be able to use their phones, computer and television in more interesting ways....

While we haven’t received first weekend sales numbers from Apple yet, AT&T has just released a statement on iPad activations noting that it witnessed a 200% increase in iPad activations compared with last year’s launch: Apple hasn’t announced official numbers for its new iPad Air. Back in January, AT&T decided to open up Apple’s FaceTime video chat service over its cellular network to all users on its new tiered plans. Unfortunately, that left those still on grandfathered unlimited data plans out in the cold. As Apple’s SVP of Marketing Phil Schiller introduced WiFi Calling support coming with the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, and other iPhones with iOS 8 on supported networks earlier this week, it was noted that only T-Mobile and EE will provide support for the new feature at launch. WiFi Calling will allow users to take advantage of home or office WiFi connections, for instance, to improve call quality in otherwise potentially low network zones....

The report sent Arista shares up 8% in late trading. Despite the upbeat report and forecast, CEO Jayshree Ullal told analysts during the company’s conference call Monday evening that disruption of the global supply chain that is affecting its sales of network switches will continue into 2023. “And so despite the supply chain obstacles that we now expect to continue into 2023, we have emerged stronger,” Ullal told analysts. Some progress with suppliers in November yielded to further supply disruption as the Omicron variant of COVID-19 emerged, she said....

Ford announced back in January that all 2017 models would offer CarPlay compatibility through its Sync 3 infotainment system, and the company has today confirmed that this applies across its full range of vehicles: cars, SUVs, light trucks and electrified vehicles. You will, of course, have to purchase Sync 3 as an option if it is not included as standard in your chosen vehicle. The first 2017 models are already on sale at dealerships, including the Escape, Fusion, Mustang and Explorer, with others due later this year....

The past several months have been a tumultuous time for the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC’s) plans to let commercial entities operate 5G services on the C-band spectrum in the US.
