Smart home device maker Arlo has so far only offered an audio doorbell, but its upcoming smart video doorbell has surfaced in new images after it mentioned the product earlier this month. With more of the brand’s cameras gaining HomeKit functionality this year, hopefully Arlo’s new video doorbell will include support for Apple’s smart home platform too, but that’s a question mark for now. Spotted by Zatz Not Funny!, images of the upcoming Arlo video doorbell were published by I-View Now, one of Arlo’s partners....

Arrested Development season 5 has largely revolved around the mystery murder of Lucille 2, and the season finale reveals her killer to be none other than her former lover, Buster Bluth. The shocking twist is revealed in the final moments of the season finale, in what is likely the darkest plot point in Arrested Development’s history. Arrested Development’s polarizing season 4 (the first produced for Netflix) spent much of its time creating reasons for virtually every member of the Bluth family to want Lucille Austero - colloquially referred to as Lucille 2 in deference to Lucille Bluth - out of the picture, and the season 4 finale ended with the vertigo-prone socialite disappearing on Cinco De Quatro....

Emily Bett Rickards, who played master hacker Felicity Smoak through seven seasons of Arrow, has announced that the current season will be her last. The popular actress has been a member of the main cast since season 2, after being a recurring character through Arrow’s first season. She went on to become a major figure in the Arrowverse, making guest appearances on both The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow. Felicity Smoak was first introduced in “Lone Gunmen,” episode 3 of Arrow season 1....

The Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover event is changing one aspect of Smallville’s canon but leaving everything else the way it was. The upcoming crossover will give the Kent Farm back to Clark Kent (Tom Welling), who sold it in season 10. The Kent Farm was Clark’s home for most of the series. It was even used as the home of the Earth-38 Superman (Tyler Hoechlin) in last year’s Elseworlds crossover....

Arrowverse Superman (apparently) dies in the extended trailer for the upcoming Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover event. The latest annual crossover for The CW’s DC superhero TV series is only a couple days away, and this one is a biggie. Last year’s crossover, Elseworlds, even concluded with confirmation that Marv Wolfman and George Pérez’s famous comic book storyline will serve as the basis for this year’s Arrowverse team-up. In fact, the looming Crisis has been the pressing issue on the ongoing final season of Arrow and The Flash season 6 so far....

With numerous reports suggesting that Apple will launch a new MacBook Pro range in late October, one sketchy rumor suggests that the keynote presentation will take place on October 24. A Monday doesn’t seem particularly likely, and the ‘multiple sources’ cited are apparently just anonymous emails, but sometime around that date seems more likely than not. Logic dictates that a new OS update will be required for these new machines and if they were ready late September/early October, Apple would have added them to the September event....

Attack On Titan is one of contemporary TV’s most exciting animes, and, although its fourth and final season began airing in December 2020, fans of the exhilarating action-horror series still have much to look forward to. It director Andy Muschietti has been tapped to direct the second live-action film in the franchise following the two-part 2015 Japanese movie, with David Heyman (Harry Potter, Fantastic Beasts) among those producing. Attack on Titan borrows its setting from Hajime Isayama’s 2009 manga of the same name: the island of Paradis, where giant walls have been erected to protect humanity from massive humanoid monsters called ’titans....

The Quantum Realm is highly-expected to factor in the story of Avengers: Endgame, which will help the Avengers defeat Thanos once and for all, and there are already plenty of clues in the movie’s marketing so far. Introduced in 2015’s Ant-Man after Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) went subatomic, the Quantum Realm is defined as “a reality where all concepts of time and space become irrelevant as you shrink for all eternity,” as explained by Dr....

Avengers: Endgame has crashed AMC Theaters’ website as fans rush to secure their seats for opening weekend. Later this month, the culmination of the 22-film Infinity Saga finally hits theaters, and Marvel is in the final stretch of marketing. Today, tickets for the film officially went on sale as the studio released another sneak peek filled with new (but non-spoilery) footage of Earth’s Mightiest stand against Thanos. It goes without saying that Endgame is arguably 2019’s most-anticipated film and anticipation to see it has reached a fever pitch....

Arrow star Katie Cassidy Rodgers has pitched a Birds of Prey show to The CW. Big things are going to happen in the Arrowverse soon due to Crisis on Infinite Earths, the end of Arrow, and even the debut of an untitled show set in the same universe. In many ways, the Arrowverse successfully created a connected universe of superheros. The Flash spun out of Arrow, and became one of the most popular comic book shows on television....

In the case of the August Doorbell Cam, both Apple and August promise HomeKit support for the existing hardware already on the market. August ships a HomeKit-compatible door lock, but the smart doorbell camera doesn’t yet work with Apple’s Home app in any way. Apple’s HomeKit feature technically supports both smart home video systems and doorbells, but so far only one HomeKit video camera has shipped. D-Link’s Omna 180 launched earlier this year as the only HomeKit video camera to actually ship, while Apple lists August Doorbell Cam as the only HomeKit doorbell on its HomeKit site, although support has been promised for a year now....

James Cameron has revealed the planned release dates for his quintet of Avatar sequels, with dates between 2020 and 2025. Ever since the first Avatar set an all-time box office record of $2.7 billion (one that doesn’t look likely to be beaten anytime soon) in 2009, sequels in some form have been at the forefront of James Cameron’s mind. He created an entire world that - thanks to the wonders of motion capture and 3D technology - audiences were clearly hungry for and he has some big ideas for....

There may never be another film like Avengers: Endgame, using time travel to give fans a trip back through the MCU they had watched take shape, to give heroes the ending they truly deserved. It was such a perfect ending, in fact, that few would ever think time travel was pitched and scrapped–before a business decision unintentionally changed everything. Marvel’s insistence on not letting their stories get too serious–even when avenging half the universe–has earned some criticism....

Warner Bros. is working on a “horror-tinged” Aquaman spinoff movie, The Trench. The DC Extended Universe has its biggest hit yet thanks to James Wan’s underwater adventure solo movie for Arthur Curry (Jason Momoa). The film has made over $1 billion at the box office and is officially the highest grossing DC movie ever made. The success of Aquaman has immediately spawned discussions of a sequel, which are still in the early stages at this point....

Fans may not have a new Assassin’s Creed game until 2020, but there is more than one way to enter the ancient war of Assassins and Templars. Luckily, Titan Comics has just released Assassin’s Creed: The Fall & The Chain, the graphic novel collecting both halves of what is likely the most important Assassin’s Creed story NOT featured in the video game. Not completely, anyway. The star of the modern side of the AC saga will always be remembered as Desmond Miles, but fans who have spent hours diving through the extended lore, comic books, novels, and online archives know Desmond is just a pawn in a larger game....

AT&T today announced its shared data plans for smartphone, tablet (phablet?), and Mac/PC users. Current and new customers will be able to choose plans for all of their devices with one with a fairly simple matrix. Current customers will not be forced into these plans (ahem Verizon!), but many with multiple devices/family members might jump at the opportunity. Bucket plans start at $45 a month (but drop to $30 a month at higher data tiers) + $40 for 1GB of data....

Carriers often try to attract switchers and new subscribers during new iPhone season, and AT&T is doing its part today by upgrading its mobile plans with some modest data upgrades at reduced costs. AT&T is also announcing that its new plans no longer include overage charges for exceeding data caps. AT&T subscribers won’t automatically be moved to these new plans, so current customers will want to compare these new rates and potentially save money with more data....

There has been some outrage in the Android community this week about how their ‘4G’ phones can’t upload data as fast as a 3G iPhone 4. (welcome to AT&T Android!). Even the ‘King of Android Phones’, the Atrix, gets schooled by the iPhone. Word on the street is that AT&T hasn’t enabled the higher speed HSDPA+ radios on the Androids but since Apple controls the iPhone firmware, AT&T can’t mess with it....
