Official tie-in merchandise for Avengers: Endgame may reveal Iron Man’s new weapon. The fourth Avengers movie is a subject of intense secrecy right now, with Kevin Feige even suggesting that the trailers could all draw from the first 15-20 minutes of the film in order to keep the main plot secret.

In the absence of firm information, fans have been forced to look to tie-in merchandise and promotional artwork for clues. So far, it looks as though the Avengers will don mysterious new “Advanced Tech” team uniforms, reminiscent of the Quantum Realm environmental suits seen in Ant-Man & the Wasp. It’s generally believed that Earth’s surviving heroes will enter the Quantum Ralm, and use it to enable them to travel in time. The goal is presumably to somehow rewrite history so as to either avert or undo the snap.

Marvel is conscious of the fact official merchandise may reveal Avengers: Endgame’s secrets, and as a result no Endgame merch was revealed at this year’s New York Toy Fair. But new images have just surfaced (via Marvel Braa on Twitter) that show an Iron Man Titan figure wielding a powerful weapon on his left arm, and a Hasbro Marvel Legends two-pack featuring Black Widow and Hawkeye.

There have long been rumors that Iron Man would wield a new weapon in Avengers: Endgame, possibly even the Proton Cannon he used in Capcom’s 1995 arcade game, Marvel Super Heroes. Something visibly resembling the Proton Cannon was seen in the background of the Avengers Compound in Avengers: Infinity War, and it was also visible in a set photo that the Russo brothers teased was somehow important to Avengers: Endgame. Fans initially assumed it would be used by War Machine, but another set photo suggested it would instead be wielded by Tony Stark. It’s interesting to note that the Titan figure shows Stark carrying the Proton Cannon on his left arm, which he has favored in recent movies after sustaining injuries to it.

Meanwhile, the Marvel Legends two-pack features Black Widow and Hawkeye, but with alternate heads meaning the figures can be transformed into Iron Man, Ant-Man, and Nebula as well. This seemingly confirms that the team uniforms will be used by all of those five Avengers, and also that - in an unusual move for Marvel - these outfits are almost identical, to the extent that Hasbro figures they can do alternate heads for the same bodies. Assuming the Quantum Realm theory is correct, this confirms that all of the main Avengers enter the Quantum Realm; previous merchandise and concept art had already confirmed that Thor, Rocket, and the Hulk get these outfits as well.
