UPDATE: Read our full breakdown of the Avengers: Endgame Super Bowl spot here.

Marvel Studios debuts an Avengers: Endgame Super Bowl TV spot during the big game. After marking their 10th anniversary in 2018, Marvel Studios has another big year ahead of them in 2019. First, Captain Marvel joins the Marvel Cinematic Universe in her own solo movie. Then, Phase 3 of the MCU comes to a close with the release of Avengers: Endgame, marking the end of the shared universe’s story so far. Last, Marvel and Sony are kicking off Phase 4 with Spider-Man: Far From Home, the sequel to 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Of the three MCU movies set to hit theaters this year, Avengers: Endgame is arguably the most highly anticipated. Not only does it bring Phase 3 to a close, it will also conclude the story after the cliffhanger ending of Avengers: Infinity War. At the end of the 2018 film, Thanos had used the Infinity Gauntlet to snap away half of life in the universe in an event called the Decimation. Endgame picks up some time after the Decimation and sees the surviving Avengers working together to save the world and defeat Thanos once and for all. After Marvel Studios built up fan excitement for the Avengers: Endgame trailer to a fever pitch, they unveiled the first footage late last year. Now, even more footage debuts in the movie’s Super Bowl spot.

Marvel Studios unveiled the Avengers: Endgame Super Bowl TV spot during the game on CBS, and it has since been made available online. The first trailer for Avengers: Endgame offered glimpses of the surviving heroes but gave fans little insight into what to truly expect from the movie - aside from the characters dealing with the fallout of being defeated by Thanos and the Decimation. Watch the new Avengers: Endgame footage below.

The full cast of Avengers: Endgame hasn’t been officially confirmed by Marvel Studios. Fans can expect the surviving superheroes from Infinity War to return, including all six original Avengers: Captain America (Chris Evans), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) - though he’ll be donning his Ronin superhero suit in this movie. Further, a number of their allies are still alive, like Nebula (Karen Gillan), Rocket (Bradley Cooper) and Ant-Man (Paul Rudd). Presumably they’ll also be joined by Captain Marvel (Brie Larson), who was called to Earth by Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) in the Infinity War post-credits scene.

The Avengers: Endgame Super Bowl spot offers more new footage of the returning characters, including Cap in what appears to be a support group for those left behind after the Decimation, as well as Tony Stark and Nebula working on a ship - presumably the ship they left Titan on. The TV spot also features the heroes in a number of different locations, hinting at the epic scale of the movie. At least fans looking forward to Avengers: Endgame won’t have to wait much longer to see the film itself, with less than three months until it hits theaters.
