Avengers: Endgame’s newest LEGO set reveals the team’s redesigned Quinjet. Used by the Earth’s Mightiest Heroes to travel for their missions, the aircraft is S.H.I.E.L.D.’s technologically advanced jet that has unique flying capabilities thanks to their specially crafted swings that have turbine fans. Over the years, they started to become equipped with weaponry, making them more useful in combat.
With just less than three months before hitting theaters, a slew of tie-in merchandise for Endgame is potentially giving fans an idea about what to expect in the film following the events of Avengers: Infinity War. The last couple of months, fans have seen toys revealing the heroes’ brand new matching gear for the flick, as well as their updated individual suits. And considering that the last two sneak peeks for the movie barely gave anything away with regard to its plot, it’s understandable that fans are turning to these pieces of merchandise for any hint concerning what’s going down in the film. But aside from the costumes, the latest reveal from an Avengers 4 toy set unveils the heroes’ brand new Quinjet.
Shared on Instagram by a user with the handle michael_bricks_vol.11 are a couple of images of said LEGO set, giving fans a look at the Quinjet. Sporting the Avengers logo, the vessel is colored blue and gray with orange accents. The Endgame toy set includes minifugures for Rocket, Thor, and Hawkeye as they seem to battle Thanos’ Outriders. Interestingly, fans can also see the Avengers headquarters in the background, which implies that this battle may take place on their home turf. Check out the images below:
Directors Joe and Anthony Russo recently came out to say that toys aren’t credible sources of narrative. While that holds true, it’s also known that tie-in merchandise is generally inspired by the film it’s related too. That means that even if some of these toys don’t accurately depict what will happen in the movie, they includes several elements that fans can expect to play out on the big screen. For example, while the battle illustrated in this particular LEGO set may not take place in the Avengers HQ grounds, that’s not to say that a version of it couldn’t take place in Wakanda. The same goes with the design of the Quinjet, as well as the the team-up of Thor, Rocket and Ronin.
Additionally, a shot of Captain America and Black Widow in the first trailer for Avengers: Endgame showed them aboard an aircraft. While fans never got to see the outside of that vessel, it’s safe to say that it’s the Quinjet. Otherwise, it could also be one of the advanced aircraft from Wakanda loaned to them as they gear up to face Thanos for a second time. It’s been established that the African kingdom will play a part in the aftermath of Infinity War, and their weapons, gadgets and transport vehicles could certainly help Earth’s Mightiest Heroes’ cause.
