One clever Avengers: Endgame fan has sculpted Thanos himself from a lone coffee bean. Unsurprisingly, despite releasing last April, Avengers: Endgame is still a big discussion point among moviegoers. The film was also nominated for an Academy Award, for Best Visual Effects.

At this point, what can be said about Avengers: Endgame? Even those who don’t enjoy comic book movies can’t deny the film is a crowning achievement. Somehow, directors Anthony and Joe Russo were able to complete the story arcs of Captain America/Steve Rogers and Iron Man/Tony Stark, while including almost every major character in the MCU. The film has been the recipient of numerous awards, including the SAG Award for best stunt ensemble. That is not surprising, considering the famous “Avengers Assemble” sequence was something years in the making. One character from the movie who continues to get discussion is the Mad Titan, Thanos. One can find Thanos quotes being recited all over the internet, often in mock seriousness. The character has certainly left an impact, and now one dedicated fan has gone the extra mile with recreating the villain on a coffee bean.

Over on Reddit, a user named u/globnam posted a picture of a coffee bean carved to look like Thanos’ head. If this is not the greatest thing one will see this week, we don’t know what is. Check it out below.

Given coffee beans are typically not too big, the amount of detail is impressive. Despite Thanos being erased from existence at the end of Avengers: Endgame, the character lives on thanks to the fans. Some may wonder if Thanos could return in a future movie, and even Thanos creator Jim Starlin believes there’s more story potential with the character. Anything is possible, and with the multiverse being a factor coming up, one never knows.

Even if Thanos never returns, most fans would probably agree he fulfilled his role well. Ever since the legendary tease at the end of The Avengers, fans wondered when the character would battle Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. That answer came six years later in Avengers: Infinity War. In many ways, it was more of a Thanos movie, as the story revolved around him acquiring the Infinity Stones. Avengers: Endgame was arguably the perfect sendoff for the character. He very nearly succeeded in wiping out all life, before being defeated by Iron Man. It will be interesting to see if Marvel is able to deliver an antagonist as instantly-iconic as Thanos, and a movie as grand as Avengers: Endgame again someday.
