The Avengers: Endgame social media embargo has lifted, and the first batch of reactions have flooded online. It’s been quite the journey getting to Avengers: Endgame, with Marvel Studios kicking off the Marvel Cinematic Universe over a decade ago with Jon Favreau’s Iron Man. And while the shared universe had humble beginnings, it quickly flourished into one of the most successful and beloved entertainment franchises in filmmaking history. Now it’s time for its… endgame.
Coming on the heels of Captain Marvel’s release last month and continuing the story that left off in Avengers: Infinity War last year, Anthony and Joe Russo’s Avengers: Endgame reunites the Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, at least the ones still left alive after The Decimation, for one last showdown with the Mad Titan Thanos. Of course, that’s not the only goal in Endgame, as the Avengers will most likely be looking to bring back all the people who were killed in Infinity War. Whether they do so or not remains to be seen. But now fans can find out if Avengers: Endgame was truly worth the wait.
Following the Avengers: Endgame world premiere in Los Angeles, CA, the first batch of reactions to this year’s team-up film have cropped up online. Note that these are merely social media reactions and should not be taken as reviews, as those will come at a later time after the movie screens to press around the world. Below is a collection of SPOILER FREE Avengers: Endgame reactions.
It’s quite clear going based on these early reactions from critics, including Screen Rant’s own Rob Keyes, that Avengers: Endgame is the ultimate and satisfying conclusion that fans were hoping to see. Since no spoilers are being posted in these early reactions, fans will just have to wait and see what that conclusion entails, but it’s apparent that this marks the end for some characters while also setting up the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Phase 4 and beyond.
What’s more, Avengers: Endgame contains quite a bit of fan service, which is needed at this point in the game, and it highlights several characters once again - two of them being Thor and Hawkeye (who was noticeably absent in Avengers: Infinity War). But perhaps the best thing to come out of these reactions is knowing that Avengers: Endgame truly lives up to its hype. Sometimes that can be quite difficult in this day and age.
