Chris Pratt promises Avengers: Endgame will deliver on everything set up by Avengers: Infinity War. The Guardians of the Galaxy star has been part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Star-Lord since debuting in 2014, and he quickly became someone many believed could help lead the universe in the years to come. This only made it all the more surprising to fans when Thanos snapped his fingers at the end of Infinity War and Star-Lord was among half of the universe’s population to disappear after screwing up the Avengers’ plan.
Even though Star-Lord and all of the other missing heroes are expected to be brought back to life in Avengers: Endgame, their fates currently rest in the hands of the original six Avengers and a few other remaining heroes. As important as it is for the MCU’s future to bring back characters who can lead the franchise for the next decade, Endgame also has to wrap up the first saga of the MCU. Writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely previously claimed that Endgame will be bigger and better than what came before, and with a large cast and plenty of expectations, Pratt believes it will still manage to deliver.
Pratt was a guest on GMA to promote The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part, but he was also asked about the upcoming MCU blockbuster. He teased that he knows plenty of details that would make fans lose their minds but obviously is not at liberty to reveal them. Instead, he claimed that Avengers: Endgame will be able to deliver on everything Infinity War promised - and then some.
Expectations for Avengers: Endgame were already high, so this latest comment by Pratt may only bolster excitement for the film or further calm any nervous fans worried that Marvel Studios will fumble this ending. The main promise of Infinity War is that the Decimation had to happen exactly as it did in order for the Avengers to be victorious and save the day. Doctor Strange did see over 14 million possibilities and this is the only one that the Avengers are able to win - whatever that means.
I am a vault of information that would break the internet. All I really should say is its coming out this year and everyone in the world is going to see it, probably get your tickets now if there’s even any left. Everything it promises in the previous movie, it delivers on and so much more.
The marketing for Endgame is still in the early stages and Marvel’s being especially vague about what the movie is, but it appears the main goal of the remaining heroes will be to return the universe’s population to normal. In order to do this, it appears directors Anthony and Joe Russo have elected to use time travel as the key to their victory. There are still plenty of questions over how this will be done and what role Thanos will play in all of it. But, with the film’s three-hour runtime testing great, it appears fans should be prepared for Avengers: Endgame to be a long but fulfilling adventure.
