The smart driving assistant Automatic is getting even more capable this morning with the roll out of a new dashboard interface made specifically for the web. You will probably recognize the interface (seen above) if you have used the Automatic app, which connects to a Bluetooth accessory in your car to give you data on driving efficiency and more.
The dashboard presents trip history mapped out alongside information including distance, miles-per-gallon, fuel cost, and duration just like the iPhone app. In addition to being able to access data captured by Automatic on the web for the first time, the new dashboard also features filtering and exporting capabilities.
The filters available on the Automatic web dashboard allow users to narrow down on specific information by setting parameters for data presented on the graph and map. Filters support selecting vehicles, time ranges, distance traveled, trip duration, fuel cost, and time of day.
On top of filtering through the collection of driving data, Automatic’s new web dashboard also supports exporting information out as a .CSV file. Similar to the filtering options, the export tool is also rather granular. Before you export your trip data, you can choose between selected trips, trips in the list view which can be narrowed down by the filters, and all of your trip data.
The web dashboard is just the latest addition to Automatic’s growing platform since we first reviewed the Automatic Link and iPhone app last year. For instance, earlier this year Automatic redesigned its iPhone app and added support for fuel gauge data in select cars.
