The first part of Attack on Titan Season 3 ended on a massive cliffhanger, and now a new trailer has teased the second half of the season and revealed its premiere date. Fans might finally get to learn what exactly lies in Eren Yeager’s basement.
Attack on Titan tells the story of Eren Yeager and his two best friends as they endeavor to survive in a world where humanity has been pushed to the brink of extinction by titans, massive disturbingly human-looking giants who seem to exist only to eat humans. As the series has progressed, it’s revealed that some humans can transform into titans and retain their minds, an ability that fell into the hands of Eren Yeager whose father seems to have come from outside of the walls of humanity’s final refuge. The end of Attack on Titan Season 3 Part 1 indicated that Attack on Titan Season 3 Part 2 will focus on the mission to retake Wall Maria, the outermost border of humanity’s defenses that was breached in the first episode of the anime.
The production company behind Attack on Titan, Pony Canyon, released a trailer for Attack on Titan Season 3 Part 2 on Saturday. Though identical to one streamed earlier this month on Funimation, Pony Canyon’s version of it reveals an air date for the first episode of the new season. The series will resume on April 28, though it will premier late in the night, so expect it to become available on April 29. In total, the second half of Attack on Titan Season 3 will consist of 10 episodes according to the Attack on Titan website. Watch the subtitled Funimation trailer below.
Animated by Wit Studio, Attack on Titan has been considered one of the premier anime offerings that got many people to fall in love with anime.
