Usually, tele-carriers rollout software or system updates a bit late as compared to unlocked variants of a smartphone. However, when the late is one year, of course, the users are going to be irritated. LG has always been one of the OEM who rolls out system update super late. LG devices under tele-carriers are also facing a similar fate. Speaking of which LG Stylo 4 Plus from AT&T is currently receiving the Android 9.0 Pie update. While the rest of the world is already enjoying the Android 10, Stylo 4 Plus users will get to experience the old Android Pie on their devices. Well, better late than never. The latest Pie OS update for the AT&T LG Stylo 4 Plus is currently moving over-the-air with software version Q710WA20d.
Along with the step-up to Android 9.0 Pie, the LG Stylo 4 Plus is also receiving the September 2019 security update. The patch is quite dated, where many devices have already received the November 2019 security patch.
The new system update is rolling over-the-air. It should find its way automatically into the devices. Carriers push updates in batch, so everyone may not receive it right away. However, if you have waited one year for the Pie update, then you can manually search for it.
Go to Settings > General > tap on Software update > Check for updates. Now your device will check for available updates.
If the Pie update is available in your region it will show up with the build number. Follow the on-screen instructions to download and install it. Make sure to use the Wi-Fi network to download the software as it is over 1 GB. As the update is huge, it may take some time for the whole installation process to finish up. So, before installing the update make sure that your device has sufficient battery charge. Otherwise, the update may stall if the phone has a low battery.
So, install and enjoy the Android 9.0 Pie on AT&T LG Stylo 4 Plus.
