In the first quarter of this year, a Taiwanese smartphone company launched the Asus ZenFone Max M1 and Zenfone Max Pro M1 smartphones. Now, the company seems to be working to unveil the successors of the phones, Asus ZenFone Max M2 and ZenFone Max Pro M2. Both the new smartphones have recently been certified by the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) in Russia.
The certification process revealed the name and model number of both upcoming smartphones. The ZenFone Max M2 comes with ZB633KL model number and ZenFone Max Pro M2 has ZB631KL model number.
The listing also reveals some more details about both phones. They will run on Android 8 Oreo operating system out of the box. Which is really disappointing, since Google Mobile operating system Android 9 Pie has been out for a while now. Some of the smartphone companies already started rolling out the Android 9.0 Pie operating system update for their phones.
However, there are no specs details listed of both phones. The phones are expected to come with notched display design. We are also expecting both phones will have an upgraded processor under the hood for performance, dual rear camera sensors.
