In order to check the OTA, Go to device Settings > About Phone > Software Update. If the ZenFone Max M2 Software Update is available then download and install normally. Update on February 1, 2020: Asus brought in the Max M2 smartphone back in December 2018. The device packs in decent mid-range specs like Snapdragon 632 processor with 3/4 GB of RAM, a 4000 mAh battery, a 6.26-inch IPS LCD display, offers 32/64 GB of onboard storage. In the camera department, you get a dual-camera setup with a 13 MP primary shooter and in the front, it houses an 8MP selfie camera. There is a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner as well. However, the device’s Android 10 update dream seems to be a distant dream as Asus does not seem to be in a mood to bring Android 10 OS to the ZenFone Max M2.

According to new development, an Asus France employee Olivier VONGXAY has responded to a tweet where he was asked whether Asus ZenFone Max M2 will be getting an Android 10 update or not. In response, Olivier stated:

Notably, the device came with Android Oreo out of the box and has till now received one major Android OS update in the form of Android 9 Pie, meaning that Android 10 update seems unlikely for the device.

The ZenFone Max Pro M2 has already started receiving a new Android 10 beta update, which is not meant for every user of the device. However, since we cannot confirm the source of this information, all info about the Android 10 update for ZenFone Max M2 should be taken with a pinch of salt. In fact, we will keep you posted once we have more information in this regard.
