Asus made some headlines with the release of the Asus ZenFone 6 or Asus 6z back in 2019. It was not all the meaty specs that the phone carried that made it to the headlines. In fact, it was the new camera arrangement that Asus went ahead turned all the heads. The company instead of using a punch-hole, notch, or pop-up mechanism, used a rotating hinge mechanism for its camera module. Moreover, the rear cameras acted as the selfie shooter thanks to the mechanism. Well, the same scenario was applied to the recently launched Asus Zenfone 7 and 7 Pro.
However, instead of a two-camera module, Asus went ahead and implemented another camera to this flip camera module. The Asus Zenfone 7 packs Snapdragon 865 while the Asus 7 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 865+ chipset. Both the device come with Android 10 out of the box with ZenUI 7 on top. In this post, we will give you a complete software update tracker for both phones to keep you updated with all the latest updates pushed for the units. So, with that being said let us take a look at the article itself:

Asus Zenfone 7 and 7 Pro – Device Specification
Though the Asus Zenfone 7 does not carry its older siblings pro name, does not mean the phone does not pack a punch. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset while the Asus Zenfone 7 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 865+ SoC. The vanilla version of the phone will ship with 8GB and 128GB of onboard storage while the Pro variant packs 8GB of RAM and 256 GB of onboard storage.
Another key difference and probably the only difference between Asus Zenfone 7 and 7 Pro is that the former does not spot OIS for any of the cameras. However, the Asus Zenfone 7 Pro packs OIS for main and telephoto cameras. Both the phones come with a 90Hz refresh rate display to give a smooth user experience.
The duo comes with a 6.67-inch Super AMOLED display, which produces 1080 x 2400 pixels, at an aspect ratio of 20:9 with 395 PPI density. The device is HDR10+ compatible and is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 6. Talking about the camera module, both the phone has a similar setup, while the Pro houses an OIS for main and telephoto cameras. It comes with a 64MP primary lens and is capable of recording 8K@30fps, 4K@30/60/120fps, 1080p@30/60/240fps, and 720p@480fps.
Asus Zenfone 7 and 7 Pro comes with stereo speakers and a fingerprint scanner on the side of the phone. Under the hood, the phones are juiced by a 5000 mAh battery that supports Fast charging 30W, USB Power Delivery 3.0, and Reverse charging.
