The Arrow series finale is approaching as The CW has released official promotional images that reveal the return of several Arrowverse faces, including The Flash. The Stephen Amell-led drama has only two episodes remaining with the finale airing on Tuesday, January 28. The eighth and final season of the Green Arrow series has wasted no time in giving Oliver Queen one final big adventure. With Crisis on Infinite Earths as this season’s annual crossover, season 8 spent most of its episodes setting up the massive five-hour event. Since Oliver was destined to die in the multiverse-shattering story, the Emerald Archer played a pivotal part in the multi-show crossover. While dying at the start of Crisis on Infinite Earths, Oliver’s destiny of becoming “something else” came to fruition as he became the Spectre.

His final act is, literally, creating a new multiverse, which caused a major game-changer for the shows. Though Arrow season 8 used a lot of its time to set up the crossover, it also gave Oliver one final big gift as he got to meet his children from the future all grown-up. The final season has been paving the way for Mia Queen (Kat McNamara) to take her father’s mantle with the first hour of the crossover making her the new Green Arrow. The penultimate episode, “Green Arrow and the Canaries” is also being used as a backdoor pilot for a spin-off centered on her, Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy), and Dinah Drake (Juliana Harkavy). As the series finale is closing in, The CW is entering Arrow’s final marketing stage.

The CW has unveiled the promotional photos for the tenth and final episode of the series titled “Fadeout.” Thanks to the images, they do reveal several familiar faces from the series, but also from the overall Arrowverse, returning. The Flash’s Grant Gustin and Legends of Tomorrow’s Caity Lotz (who started on Arrow) will take part in Oliver’s funeral. In addition to them, Susanna Thompson’s Moira Queen is somehow present in the images despite her death in season 2. But she isn’t the only past deceased character to appear as Emiko Queen (Sea Shimooka) is also at the funeral.

This might be the first big effect on Arrow from Crisis on Infinite Earths as these two dead characters are now somehow alive. If the effects of the crossover revived dead players like Moira and Emiko, it might be how Paul Blackthorne’s Quentin Lance returns as he was announced previously to appear in the finale. It was previously known that Arrow veterans Willa Holland and Colton Haynes would recur as special guests in the final season as Thea Queen and Roy Harper respectively.

As they’re back for the series finale, the images also reveal the first look at Emily Bett Rickards’ return as Felicity Smoak, who is together with her grown-up daughter Mia. Surprisingly, Ben Lewis’ William is nowhere to be seen with the teenage version from the present still being there. The synopsis for “Fadeout” teases the official wrap-up of Amell’s Green Arrow while revealing nothing about the final fate of Oliver after dying in the crossover. Viewers will truly find out what is left of Oliver Queen in the series finale of Arrow that airs on Tuesday, January 28.
