Warning: Contains SPOILERS for Arrow’s series finale, “Fadeout”.
The funeral of Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) in the Arrow series finale was very well-attended and here’s every Arrowverse cameo. Set a month after the events of Crisis On Infinite Earths, “Fadeout”, the final episode of the groundbreaking series that launched the Arrowverse, took its final bow where past and present Arrow cast members converged in Star City to say goodbye to Oliver. Among the familiar faces were some huge surprises that confirmed the major changes Oliver made when he rebirthed Earth Prime during the Crisis.
With Oliver’s memorial service looming in “Fadeout”, the newly crime-free Star City (another gift from the Green Arrow) was rocked by the kidnapping of William Clayton (Jack Moore), Oliver’s son who is still a teenager in 2020. Led by John Diggle AKA Spartan (David Ramsey), Team Arrow suited up for one last time to rescue William and the roll call was an impressive gathering of Star City’s finest heroes from the past and present: Laurel Lance AKA Black Siren (Katie Cassidy), Roy Harper AKA Arsenal (Colton Haynes), Dinah Drake AKA Black Canary (Juliana Harkavy), Rene Ramirez AKA Wild Dog (Rick Gonzalez) were joined by the returning Thea Queen AKA Speedy (Willa Holland), Rory Regan AKA Ragman (Joe Dinicol), Curtis Holt AKA Mr. Terrific (Echo Kellum), and Mia Smoak-Queen AKA the Green Arrow (Katherine McNamara), who was brought back in time to 2020 by Sara Lance AKA White Canary (Caity Lotz). Of course, Team Arrow wouldn’t be complete without Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), who came back for her husband’s funeral and resumed the role of Overwatch one last time.
After Mia saved her half-brother William and proved herself to be a worthy successor to the Green Arrow’s legacy, the heroes and their loved ones came together for the candlelight dedication of the Green Arrow statue honoring Oliver’s heroism. The next day, a more private funeral was held for Oliver on the grounds of Queen Manor, which was an all-star affair of Arrow’s luminaries. Reminiscent of the funeral for Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) in Avengers: Endgame, the impressive list of returning Arrow characters at Oliver Queen’s memorial service fittingly gave credence to his status as the Arrowverse’s founder and foremost hero.
Naturally, Diggle, Felicity, Mia, Thea, Laurel, Roy, Dinah, Rene, Curtis, Rory, William, and Sara all attended Oliver’s funeral but for Arrow’s longtime fans, the occasion was truly made special by the many shocking cameos:
Moira Queen (Susanna Thompson) is alive and well. The matriarch of the Queen family was brought back to life by Oliver and she’s aware of the pre-Crisis reality where she died at the hands of Deathstroke (Manu Bennett) in Arrow season 2.
Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne) is also alive and served as Mayor of Star City. Although he’s about to retire and hopes Rene will succeed him as Mayor, Quentin gave the dedication speech at the Green Arrow statue ceremony and he was able to reunite with his daughters Sara and Laurel, whom he remembers is from the version of Earth-2 destroyed during the Crisis.
Emiko Adachi (Sea Shimooka) is alive and reconciled with the Queen family. She met her half-sister Thea for the first time and was warmly invited into the family by Moira.
Tommy Merlyn (Colin Donnell) is also alive and, in this new Earth Prime reality, Oliver’s best friend was married to the original Laurel Lance, which made his meeting Black Siren a bit awkward.
Nyssa Al-Ghul (Katrina Law) revealed that her marriage to Oliver, which was arranged by her father Ra’s Al-Ghul (Matt Nable), has been annulled.
Talia Al-Ghul (Lexa Doig), Nyssa’s sister, also attended and met Sara Lance for the first time, whom Nyssa introduced as “my beloved”.
Barry Allen AKA The Flash (Grant Gustin) came from Central City and reunited with Felicity, who absolved him of his guilt over Oliver’s death.
Kara Danvers AKA Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) also attended, completing the Arrowverse’s Trinity.
Lyla Michaels (Audrey Marie Anderson), Diggle’s wife, was there to honor her friend Oliver and support her husband.
Anatoly Knyazev (David Nykl) came from Russia to pay his final respects to his fallen ‘brother’.
