The Blu-ray and 4k UHD release date for Warner Bros.’ Aquaman has been revealed, and following a successful theatrical run, fans can finally get their hands on the underwater hero’s debut standalone film. After fighting crime since his creation in 1941, only now is Arthur Curry/Aquaman (Jason Momoa) finally getting the recognition he deserves.

While Aquaman used to be at the butt end of jokes, nobody was laughing when Aquaman was released back in December. Upon its release, Aquaman received mostly positive reviews and quickly (and surprisingly) earned Warner Bros. a significant amount of money at the box office. In fact, the film did so well that it even became the highest-grossing DC film ever, surpassing the previous record-holder, The Dark Knight Rises. The box office revenue for Aquaman surpassed many expectations, and now Warner Bros. is set to make even more money when Aquaman gets its home release.

Warner Bros. announced  Aquaman will be released on DVD, Blu-ray, and 4k UHD on March 26 - and, for fans who don’t want the physical copy of the movie, the digital version will be available a little earlier on March 5. You can check out the full list of special features below:

As Warner Bros. is still benefitting from Aquaman at the box office, an Aquaman sequel is already in development, and the film will likely come out sooner rather than later given the first film’s success. Also, the mid-credits scene for Aquaman seemed to set up some groundwork for a sequel, with Black Manta the likely choice for the main villain, though no official details have been revealed. That said, for now, DC seems to be focused on their long list of other films that are coming out in the next few years, from Wonder Woman 1984 to Joker to Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn).

Even though Warner Bros. has already made a considerable amount of money with Aquaman, the home video release is sure to rake in even more for the studio. Fans will no doubt be willing to shell out a couple extra bucks to buy the 4k UHD version of the film, given the film’s reputation for having incredible special effects, despite getting snubbed at this year’s Academy Awards. Given all the details that Wan injected into Aquaman, as well as the influences from classic directors like Steven Spielberg, fans have that much more of a reason to get their own copies for the sake of getting a closer look and - ahem - taking a deeper dive into the film.
