American carrier AT&T is planning on eliminating its $10 a month messaging (a thousand text messages) come this Sunday. Instead, they’re forcing pricier plans upon new iPhone customers. In their vocabulary, it’s only a “streamlining”, a spokesperson for AT&T told Engadget: It is obvious the new plans work towards milking iPhone customers for extra profits. Let’s not forget they in January AT&T had also killed $5 and $15 messaging plans. Additionally, their pay-per-message options are clearly overpriced at twenty cents for a text message and thirty cents for a media-rich MMS....

Apple and other technology companies will soon have to answer the Australian Parliament as to why content from iTunes costs more for Australian consumers than United States consumers. The Sydney Morning Herald reported the Minister for Communications Stephen Conroy has now signed off on a parliamentary inquiry that will carry out sometime this year by the standing committee on infrastructure and communications from the House of Representatives. The report noted the inquiry could extend to eBooks if evidence of price increases for Australian consumers comes to light....

These 200,000 orders only come during the first 12 hours of sales, which started around midnight. AT&T announced in a press release today that last night’s iPhone 6 and 6 Plus preorders had set a new record for iPhone sales. As usually happens when a new Apple device goes on sale, the carrier’s backend was so overwhelmed with incoming orders that in stopped responding for most customers, forcing Apple to move to a reservation system that waited several hours until the carrier systems were available before completing many orders....

Avengers: Endgame wasted Hawkeye’s Ronin story. Marvel’s most famous archer was entirely absent from Avengers: Infinity War, largely because he was still under house arrest having signed a plea deal after the events of Captain America: Civil War. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige claimed that was a great move, and promised that Marvel had big plans for Hawkeye. On the surface, Avengers: Endgame seems to fulfill Feige’s promise.
